How To: Speed Dial using Workflow on Your iPhone

October 18, 2017 · by Tom

Old flip phones have always had that one advantage over all smart phones. You can quickly call a specific person with a single touch. No fuss or headaches. Now, with Apple’s Workflow App, you can set up a button on your home screen to call a specific person. Just one touch!

First we will download the app, and then we will set up the “workflow” to do the speed dialing from the home screen.

1. Download Apple’s Workflow App for Free

Click right here to go to the app store to download the app.

2. Add the Speed Dial Workflow

After downloading the Workflow app, click the following link to automatically start adding the Speed Dial Workflow:

> Click Here for the Speed Dial Workflow <

That will take you into the Workflow App and begin the setup process. Here’s a video walkthrough of what to do next, and I’ll explain it in words below the video.

There, go ahead and click Get Workflow. Next, click Done. Now the workflow can be found under My Workflows so let’s click that button on the top-left of the screen. There, we can see the Speed Dial workflow. Click it to set it up. Touch to type in a phone number, or the plus “+” sign to add from your contacts on your iPhone.

Next, we need to add it to your home screen. So click the Share button on the top-left corner. When the sharing options slide up from the bottom, click Add to Home Screen. This will take you to a new page in Safari.

You can see directions at this point on what to do next. Click the Share button (this time in the Safari app), this one is on the bottom-center of the screen. Once again, slide and look for Add to Home Screen.

At this window, you can edit the name of the icon that will be added to your home screen. Then click Add. And you’re done!
