How To: Close Apps on iOS 7

With the introduction of iOS 7 came lots of new features and changes. One change is the way in which you manually close an app.

The old way was to bring up that “quick app switching” bar at the bottom, put it in “jiggle” mode, and then carefully touch that little red circle to close the app. The new way still involves the “quick app switching” feature but now it looks different. Once you get to the quick app switching view, simply swipe up on the screenshot of the app you wish to close. I can walk you through it below.

You’ve seen the commercials for other smartphones where they bump phones to share files, right? Well, Apple’s version of this doesn’t require you to “bump” anything. It’s called AirDrop and I’ll show you how to use it.

Sharing files with someone is always possible with email, but AirDrop makes it even easier with email out of the picture. If you’re next to the person (or people) you want to share with, you can utilize AirDrop to securely share your document or photo.

Have you ever needed to type something on your iPhone in all capital letters, but every time you tapped the shift button you type one letter that’s capitalized but all the letters you type after that are lowercase letters? That can get pretty frustrating. However, there is a solution. Your iPhone has a Caps Lock feature, which works just like the Caps Lock on your computer. You can simply turn Caps Lock on and have all the letters you type be capitalized.

This quick tutorial will teach you how to enable the Caps Lock feature on your iPhone and then how to turn Caps Lock on and off when typing on your iPhone keyboard.
